George Schnell

Producer/engineer, Studio at the Village Gate

The CD is solid and the production is major league. The vocal performance is as empassioned and believable as just about any recording I've heard. The songs touch the edge of adult-alternative country and blues rock with lyrics that offer powerful imagery and heartfelt emotion. Steve Earle, Petty, Springsteen and Counting Crows all come to mind. One of my favorites is "American Justice." I could definitely see this playing at the end of a movie as the credits role. I also love the poignancy in songs like "The Crossing," "Forever Yours," "Eastside of the River" and "Unconditional." "Lonesome Train" reminds me of a cross between the Blasters and the Rolling Stones...very fun! "It's All About You" sounds like Tom Petty joining up with Lynyrd Skynyrd--very cool! All the songs are well crafted and show a tremendous level of professionalism: from the tightness of the rythym section to the outstanding engineering, mixing and mastering. Brian, keep up the good work and best of luck!
